RF COIL ASSEMBLY, PROTECTION METHOD THEREOF, AND MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect an RF coil assembly from an induction RF current when the RF coil assembly that has an RF transmitting function, and can be manually connected with a magnetic resonance imaging system is not connected an MRI system.

SOLUTION: In the coil assembly, an RF feed circuit is configured to feed an RF current to an RF coil from a manual operation connection interface with the magnetic resonance imaging system. At least one of variable impedances is optically connected with at least inside of the RF coil or the RF feed circuit, or at least one of them, and changes impedances to the flow of the RF current in concert with the RF coil assembly disconnected from the magnetic resonance imaging system in different first and second impedance states.
