<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of improving actual-temperature followability to a target temperature of a fixing member, and an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing device 100 has a fixing belt 102; a thermistor 170 for detecting a temperature of the fixing belt 102; and a controlling unit 20 for performing PID control so as to maintain a detected temperature T of the fixing belt 102 at a target temperature Tg. The controlling unit 20 is set to increase a proportional gain Kp of the PID control when the detected temperature T is lower than the target temperature Tg or predicted to be lower than the target temperature Tg. Thus, actual-temperature followability to a target temperature Tg of the fixing belt 102 can be improved compared with a constitution keeping a proportional gain Kp constant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
