<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corrosion inhibitor capable of easily inhibiting elution of copper and formation of a precipitate in the presence of copper and a rubber material, and to provide a brake fluid for automobiles. <P>SOLUTION: The corrosion inhibitor contains a phosphoric acid ester and a thiadiazole as effective components. The corrosion inhibitor is used after being mixed with a non-mineral oil-based base material. The brake fluid for automobiles contains at least one kind of non-mineral oil-based base material selected from a glycol ether and a polyether polyol.
