<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy of blur estimation of images. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing method includes the following steps. In Step S3, in a noticed area of an input image, an inner boundary line as a boundary line between a subject and a background viewing from a subject side, and an outer boundary line as a boundary line between the subject and the background view from a background side are detected. In Step S4, a correlation value in space between the inner boundary line and the outer boundary line in a noticed area is calculated. In Step S5, when the correlation value is equal to or less than a predetermined threshold level, it is determined that the noticed area is a fuzzy area.
