<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device capable of exhibiting a high power saving efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: An image formation device 100 comprises main control parts 101 through 103, sub-control parts 109 and 110, and an image formation part 105 which forms an image on a media to be recorded on. The sub-control parts 109 and 110 inquire a presence of e-mail addressed to the subject device of an e-mail server, and start the main control parts 101 through 103 to shift the subject device from the sleep mode to an ordinary mode when confirming that an e-mail addressed to the subject device is present in the e-mail server. After shifting to the ordinary mode, the main control parts 101 through 103 acquire the e-mail from the e-mail server.
