FLAME-RETARDANT POLYESTER RESIN COMPOSITION AND MOLDED ARTICLE THEREOF

The present invention is a flame-retardant polyester resin composition comprising (A) a polyester resin with (B) a salt of a triazine-based compound with cyanuric acid or isocyanuric acid. The composition comprises the component (B) in an amount of 1 to 70 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the component (A), and, in the composition, the number of particles of the component (B) with a maximum size of more than 15 pm is 1 or less per 100 µm x 100 µm cross section. The present invention is also a molded article made of the flame-retardant polyester resin composition. The present invention provides a flame-retardant polyester resin composition excellent in the balance of flame retardancy and mechanical properties without using a halogen-based flame retardant; and also a molded article.
