The present invention discloses a method for updating and generating an air interface key, and a wireless access system. The updating method includes: a source Radio Network Controller (RNC) completes a static relocation towards a target RNC; the target RNC implements an intra-Serving-RNC (SRNC) relocation; in the intra-SRNC relocation process, the target RNC updates its enhanced key according to a key received from the source RNC or a core network node. With the present invention, the enhanced air interface key can be updated in the SRNC static relocation process, the time delay of the SRNC relocation process is not increased, and the safety and efficiency of the system are improved. |
