<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery having an advantage in preventing an electrolytic film from being damaged and reducing the risk of reaction fluid leakage in a stage of assembling or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel battery has a film electrode assembly 1 and an outer edge seal part 10 for sealing an outer edge portion of the film electrode assembly. As shown in cross section, the outer edge seal part 10 has a center seal frame 11, an anode seal frame 12 and a cathode seal frame 13. The center seal frame 11 has an inner edge end face 11i surrounding an outer edge end face 4p of an electrolytic film 4 from outside on all sides. The anode seal frame 12 has: an inner edge end face 12i surrounding an outer edge end face 3p of an anode catalyst layer 3 from outside on all sides; and an inner edge seal surface 12w covering a first exposed surface 41 which is a surface of an electrolytic film 4. The cathode seal frame 13 has: an inner edge end face 13i surrounding an outer edge end face 5p of a cathode catalyst layer 5 from outside on all sides; and an inner edge seal surface 13w covering a second exposed surface 42 which is a surface of the electrolytic film 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
