MEMBRANE-ELECTRODE STRUCTURE FOR SOLID POLYMER FUEL CELL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane-electrode structure for a solid polymer fuel cell capable of suppressing degradation of a solid polymer electrolyte membrane by attack of hydrogen peroxide or peroxide radical, since transition metal oxide disperses in high dispersion.

SOLUTION: A membrane-electrode structure for a solid polymer fuel cell is configured to interpose a solid polymer electrolyte membrane 1 with a pair of electrode catalyst layers 2 and 2 containing catalyst particles and electrode electrolyte. At least one of the solid polymer electrolyte membrane 1 and the electrode catalyst layer 2 contains organic group modification transition metal oxide particles having organic groups on their surfaces.
