<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane-electrode structure for a solid polymer fuel cell capable of suppressing degradation of a solid polymer electrolyte membrane by attack of hydrogen peroxide or peroxide radical, since transition metal oxide disperses in high dispersion. <P>SOLUTION: A membrane-electrode structure for a solid polymer fuel cell is configured to interpose a solid polymer electrolyte membrane 1 with a pair of electrode catalyst layers 2 and 2 containing catalyst particles and electrode electrolyte.
