<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a write-once type optical recording medium superior in storage reliability and have a better productivity than a similar product in which a protecting layer is made of indium oxide and tin oxide. <P>SOLUTION: The optical recording medium comprises: an inorganic recording layer; and a protection layer containing a complex oxide as a main component, including indium oxide, formed on at least one surface of the inorganic recording layer.
