<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately calibrate statistical parameter values or the like of the device characteristics to be inputted to a simulator that takes variability in circuits and elsewhere into consideration. <P>SOLUTION: A simulation parameter calibrating method comprises a step of acquiring by variation-considered simulation a resultant value of simulation of a prescribed product performance relative to a reference candidate value of statistical quantity of a prescribed product characteristic, a step of calculating a likelihood by substituting the reference candidate value, the resultant value of simulation, the statistical quantity of the prescribed product characteristic measured value and the measured value of the prescribed product performance into a likelihood function, which is defined with a probability density function regarding the statistical quantity of the prescribed product characteristic and the probability density function regarding the prescribed product performance, for calculating the likelihood combining the statistical quantity of the prescribed product characteristic with the simulation of the prescribed product performance, and a step of identifying the reference candidate value where the likelihood reaches the maximum by executing the above-mentioned steps two or more times while changing the reference candidate value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
