The invention relates to a method for carrying out the assembly of parts made of lignocellulosic material in accordance with a mechanical friction welding method, each lignocellulosic material part comprising a surface portion, referred to as a contact surface, which is to be adjoined to the contact surface of at least one other lignocellulosic material part in said assembly, said method including the following steps: a) coating the contact surface of at least one of said lignocellulosic material parts with a welding composition including a resin acid or a combination of resin acids; and b) welding together said lignocellulosic material parts by means of mechanical friction at the respective contact surfaces thereof.
