<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device that can correct a reference frequency accurately while maintaining lower power consumption in a circuit. <P>SOLUTION: A communication device includes a reference frequency generating unit that generates a reference frequency having a central frequency deviation under a predetermined condition, and a wireless signal detecting unit that operates in a detection period based on the reference frequency and that detects a periodic signal generated based on a reference frequency with higher accuracy than the reference frequency.
