摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biometric authentication unit in which deterioration of authentication accuracy is sufficiently suppressed by detecting a placement state of a finger of an authentication object person on a placement base and performing personal authentication by a finger vein pattern using the detected placement state of the finger. <P>SOLUTION: In the biometric authentication unit 1, a placement state detection part 3 detects the placement state of the finger of a user by pressure distribution which is detected by a right side pressure detection plate 31, a left side pressure detection plate 32, a front side pressure detection plate 33, a rear side pressure detection part 34, and a tip pressure detection plate 35. The biometric authentication unit 1 corrects the finger vein pattern which is registrant data based on a shift amount between the detected placement state of the finger of the user and a proper placement state, and collates the corrected registrant data with the acquired finger vein pattern of the user to authenticate whether or not the user is the principal registrant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
