<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent too late ignition of fuel and to reduces the amount of CO and HC generated during combustion when an intake air temperature is lower by a predetermined temperature than a target temperature, in a diesel engine that employs a PCI combustion system, while preventing a torque reduction due to an accidental fire. <P>SOLUTION: When the intake air temperature is lower by a predetermined temperature than a target intake air temperature and it is detected that the too late ignition occurs, the main injection and early injection is performed earlier (step S8). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
