<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, when a print job is received from another PC during execution of an extended copy, the print job is executed prior to the print job of the extended copy. <P>SOLUTION: When a job is ordered to start, a piece of information indicating the start of the job is transmitted to an external device along with an identification information for identifying the job; when the external device receives the transmitted job in response to the information, it is determined if the job relates to a job to be executed in combination with the external device (402).
