<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to easily download and install, on a client, multiple programs which are required to control a device. <P>SOLUTION: In an information processing system which includes a client and servers, the client gets, from a predetermined server, a list of identification information on programs required to control a device to be controlled. Then, the client gets, from another predetermined server, programs corresponding to the identification information in the list.
