<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a waveform display update rate. <P>SOLUTION: When one end of a line art forming a histogram is defined as an origin and the other end of the line art is defined as an end point, a data processing circuit 3 measures the frequency of amplitude value of an input waveform, sets the presence/absence of the origin and end point of the line art having a length corresponding to the measured frequency to generate origin/end point data, and adds the generated origin/end point data to the waveform data to generate origin/end point/waveform data D2. A display processing circuit 5 generates a histogram with the line art obtained from the origin/end point/waveform data D2 by connecting the origin to the end point and generates a waveform from the origin/end point/waveform data D2. Thereby, an oscilloscope 100 can synchronously display the histogram and the waveform without performing a synchronization process for synchronously displaying the histogram and the waveform. Consequently, the burden to a CPU can be reduced to prevent a decline in a processing time of the CPU and improve the waveform display update rate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
