<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user interface having a high robustness even with an information selection operation with a simple gesture. <P>SOLUTION: A human body posture estimation section 52 estimates posture of a human body using an image taken by an imaging section 51, and outputs a piece of posture information as an estimation result to a posture recognition section 54 and a gesture recognition section 56. The posture recognition section 54 recognizes the posture based on the posture information, and outputs a posture command corresponding to the recognized posture to an information selection section 32. The gesture recognition section 56 accumulates the posture information in time-sequence in a posture history data buffer 57, recognizes the gesture based on the time-sequenced posture information, and supplies a gesture command corresponding to the recognized gesture to the information selection section 32. The information selection section 32 outputs information as the options of information option database 33 based on the posture command or the gesture command.
