<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a power transmitting belt which eliminates occurrence of scrap such as cutting waste, grinding waste and polishing waste, prevents a pinhole from occurring in the vicinity of an interface between a cog crest part of a compression rubber layer and an adhesive rubber layer, and prevents occurrence of a crack in an early stage when a belt travels. <P>SOLUTION: In this method of manufacturing a power transmitting belt, reinforced cloth 40 serving as a compression rubber layer and a sheet 55 for compression rubber are wound around a molding die 41 alternately formed with projection-like parts and groove-like parts, and thereafter pressurized under heating by a pressing material 66 alternately formed with tooth parts 64 and groove parts 65 to mold an unvulcanized sleeve 60 having an uneven pattern surface 68 on a back face 61 along with a cog part. A belt mold body is manufactured by sequentially winding at least a core wire and a material serving as an extension rubber layer around the back face 61 of the sleeve having the uneven pattern surface 68, and thereafter the belt mold body is subjected to vulcanization molding by being heated and pressurized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
