<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-manufacture light-emitting device by minimizing angle dependence of the chromaticity of emitted light, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting device comprises a lead 10 provided, in the lateral face thereof, with a recess DP, a light-emitting element 14 mounted on a first principal surface s1 of the lead 10, a second resin body 172 which fills the recess DP and covers the outside of a first resin body 171 from the first principal surface s1 side to a lowermost end position in the recess DP along a direction perpendicular to the first principal surface s1, and a fluorescent substance 18 provided in the second resin body 172 in order to absorb light emitted from the light-emitting element 14 and to emits light of a different wavelength. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
