The resonator i.e. turning fork type resonator (1), has a deformation body e.g. base (3) and conical arms (5, 7), with a core that is formed from a plate cut in the characterized quartz crystal. The body includes a coating e.g. germanium dioxide, partially deposited against the core, where the cutting angle of the plate and the thickness of the coating are provided according to thermoelastic coefficients of the coating to obtain thermal coefficients at first and second null orders.
