<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain highly efficient cooling for the whole rotor with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: The rotor for rotary electric machine includes: a rotor body 10 that is journaled to a case 30 by a rotating shaft 40 and is made up of a plurality of magnetic steel sheets 12 laminated in the axial direction of the rotating shaft 40; and permanent magnets 11 disposed inside the rotor body 10.
