<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect (measure) a temperature of an intrinsic back ground object, and accurately correct a signal from an object detection sensor (PIR sensor). <P>SOLUTION: An object detection device includes a PIR sensor 11A that outputs a signal with a magnitude corresponding to a temperature difference between a heat generating object and the back ground object existing around the heat generating object, when the heat generating object exists in a detection area; detection determination means 23A that receives the signal from the PIR sensor 11A, and detects the presence of the heat generating object by comparing the level of the received signal and a preset value; and correction means 23E that receives a signal from a thermopile 11B that detects the temperature of the back ground object by detecting radiation heat, and corrects an amplifying gain of the signal or the preset value according to the temperature of the back ground object. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
