<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a base tread which can simultaneously improve low fuel consumption nature and control stability, and to provide a pneumatic tire having the base tread using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The rubber composition for a base tread includes a rubber component and paper fiber, wherein the rubber component includes 5-90 mass% of a tin-modified polybutadiene rubber which is polymerized by a lithium initiator, in which a content of a tin atom is 50-3,000 ppm, a vinyl bond content is 5-50 mass%, and a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) is at least two, and wherein a content of the paper fiber is 0.5-30 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the rubber component. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
