The invention relates to a method for connecting a rudder post or propeller shaft to a driving assembly or assembly to be driven, for transmitting torsional forces for a rudder or a propeller of a ship, wherein the shaft is press fit in a hole of a connector fastened on the assembly for connecting to the driving assembly or assembly to be driven. According to the invention, an intermediate layer (42) is disposed between the connector (4) and the shaft (11) in order to produce a connection at the hole (40), said layer being made of a different material than the material of the connector (4). The invention further relates to a connecting device. In such a manner, a method and a connecting device are provided for connecting a rudder post or propeller shaft to a driving assembly or assembly to be driven for transmitting torsional forces for a rudder or a propeller of a ship, by means of which the connection of the shaft to the driving assembly or assembly to be driven can be produced at high strength in a simple, inexpensive manner. |
