The present invention relates to a novel biarylamide derivate, and pharmaceutical and cosmetic compositions containing the derivative as an active ingredient. More specifically, the present invention relates to a novel biarylamide derivative, and therapeutic pharmaceutical and cosmetic compositions containing the derivative as an active ingredient for the prevention or treatment of pigment disorders caused by abnormal melanin pigmentation, or of diseases caused by an abnormal proliferation of melanin cells. As the biarylamide derivative of the present invention suppresses the melanin generation as well as the abnormal proliferation of melanin cells, any cosmetic composition containing the biarylamide derivative as an active ingredient exhibits an excellent whitening effect; and any pharmaceutical composition containing the biarylamide derivative as an active ingredient is effective for the prevention and treatment of pigment disorders of the skin (e.g., liver spots, freckles, lentigines), and malignant melanoma. |
