PURPOSE: A magnetic field amplifying apparatus and a method for treating wastewater using electromagnetic field are provided to effectively improve the quality of water. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for purifying contaminated water using high frequency electromagnetic field and magnetic field includes an user inputting part, a reacting bath(60), a quantum filed generating, a wave generating part, a high frequency emitting part, a high frequency electromagnetic field generating unit, and an electric field generating part(70). Wastewater is introduced into the reacting bath. The wave generating part generates a high frequency signal of variable waveform to be matched with the quantum field generating part. The high frequency emitting part scans the matched quantum filed of high frequency. The strength of magnetic field and the waveform are adjusted by the controlling part. The wastewater is exposed to the magnetic field by being introduced through a circulating pipe(71).
