<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus enabling application of exactly appropriate opening force to both toggle latch mechanisms disposed on a door, simultaneously releasing both of the mechanisms and preventing a twisting deformation of a door member, even if the door member is wide. <P>SOLUTION: A door unit 100B can be opened and closed so as to be fallen toward a side surface side, and is engaged to an apparatus body 100A on both ends by toggle latch mechanisms 37. A handle lever 29 used for opening the door unit 100B is provided with a holding part 29a on the side surface and at a position closer to the front side than the center in the depth direction. The handle lever 29 is pivotally supported at a position closer to the back side than the center in the depth direction. Externally pulling the holding part 29a causes the handle lever 29 to abut on an abutting part 34 arranged at a position closer to the back side than the center in the depth direction of the door unit 100B, energizing it to an opening direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
