<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict outbreaks of noise and vibration due to rolling bodies passing through between abutment surfaces of two split pieces, and to prevent creep of a double-split outer ring. <P>SOLUTION: This rolling bearing device 10 includes: the double-split outer ring 14 formed of a pair of split pieces 19a and 19b; a plurality of rollers 16 disposed to roll in the inner peripheral surface of the double-split outer ring 14; and a housing 11 of the divided structure having a support hole 31, in which the double-split outer ring 14 is fitted, and possible to be divided in a range including the support hole 31. A shaft 22 is fitted on an inner peripheral side of the roller 16. Outer peripheral surfaces of the abutment parts 24 on both circumferential ends of the split pieces 19a and 19b of the double-split outer ring 14 are formed with a pair of flat surfaces 25 parallel to each other, riding over both the split pieces 19a and 19b.
