PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid an operation trouble accompanied by a delay of coagulation in the vicinity of a corner of a mold.
SOLUTION: In continuous casting in which heat conductive bodies of a coagulated shell 2, a mold powder layer 3 and the mold 4 exist between molten steel 1 and cooling water for casting, a heat transfer coefficient α and a heat transfer coefficient β are simultaneously decided in a first mold width direction position and a second mold width direction position, respectively, by using a plurality of temperature measuring means which are embedded in the first mold width direction position and the second mold width direction position near the corner of the mold, respectively, with the positions displaced from each other in the mold in casting directions, and the thickness of the coagulated shell is calculated. Then, when the thickness of the coagulated shell is thin exceeding a prescribed numerical value in the second mold width direction position with respect to the thickness of the coagulated shell at the first mold width direction position, it is estimated that the delay of the coagulation is generated in the vicinity of the corner of the mold 4, and then a growing time of the coagulated shell 2 is secured by decreasing casting speed.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
