<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an epoxy coating composition whose aqueous dispersion stability and the self-emulsifiable property are significantly improved compared with those of conventional techniques, with which performance comparable with that of a conventional solvent-based coating is obtained when applied to an aqueous coating, and which contains a new modified epoxy resin. <P>SOLUTION: The self-emulsifiable epoxy coating composition with excellent curability is composed of (A) an epoxy resin with an epoxy equivalent of 100-3,000 g/equivalent, (B) a modified epoxy resin obtained by making prescribed amounts of (1) a bisphenol type epoxy resin with a hydroxyl group value of 50-150 g/equivalent, (2) a compound having two or more isocyanate groups in a molecule, and (3) a polyoxyalkylene compound having a hydroxyl group at one terminal thereof, react with one another, and (C) an amine curing agent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
