<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker that always keeps a predetermined amount of steam circulation, thus preserving the taste of food. <P>SOLUTION: The rice cooker includes: a pot 6 which is freely removably housed in the rice cooker 1, and in which rice and water are put; a pot heaters 7, 8 for heating the pot 6; a pump (not shown in Fig) for circulating the steam in the pot 6 through a steam circulation path (not shown in Fig) ; a cleaning course for reducing the smell inside the steam circulation path and removing the foreign objects therein; and a microcomputer 13 for controlling the pot heaters 7, 8 and a pump, etc. In the cleaning course, the microcomputer 13 is configured to perform control to supply the water and steam from the pot 6 to the steam circulation path. When glutinous water intrudes in the steam circulation path to cause the accumulation of stain or smell therein to result in clogging up the steam circulation path and making it impossible to keep the predetermined amount of steam circulation, the cleaning course is carried out to wash away the stain and smell to keep the amount of steam circulation, thus preserving the taste of food. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
