<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that although an application on an OS detects an I/O card failure, and notifies a management PC of the result in case of connecting an I/O card extension device with a computer, it is not possible for a maintenance person to specify an I/O card slot position, and to quickly exchange an I/O card. <P>SOLUTION: A management PC having a computer and an I/O card extension device with a means for determining the state of an I/O card and a means for determining the slot position of the I/O card which has broken down on the basis of I/O card failure information from the computer and the I/O card extension device is configured to turn on the light source of the slot position, and to quickly exchange the I/O card. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
