<p>Regarding a device, maintenance information satisfactory in terms of both quality and quantity can be accumulated. Disclosed is a maintenance operation instance collection apparatus (1) comprising a storage unit (13) provided with a maintenance operation instance database (21) wherein activation information acquired from a device through a sensor and maintenance information indicating counter measures in response to the activation information are associated and stored; and a control unit (11) which receives a new input of activation information, receives a new input of maintenance information, searches the maintenance operation instance database (21) using the newly received maintenance information as a retrieval key, acquires relevant activation information, compares the newly received activation information and the acquired activation information, assesses whether or not the newly received activation information is close to the acquired activation information to the extent that a predetermined criteria can be satisfied, and requests re-input of the newly received maintenance information when the assessment reveals that the similarity is not close enough.</p> |
