<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent breakage of a field effect transistor caused by an excessive current passing through the field effect transistor while a motor is rotating at a high speed. <P>SOLUTION: A motor controller 1 includes: an inverter circuit 70 that is connected to a DC power supply and uses field effect transistors as a switching element; a three-phase motor 11 that is electrically connected with the inverter circuit 70; and a suspension ECU 50 that controls switching operation of the field effect transistors. Also, the inductances of armature coils U<SB POS="POST">coil</SB>, V<SB POS="POST">coil</SB>, W<SB POS="POST">coil</SB>of the three-phase motor 11 are set so that a saturation current I<SB POS="POST">sat</SB>of a phase current running through the three-phase motor 11 is a smaller current than a maximum current I<SB POS="POST">max</SB>of the field effect transistors. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
