<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve permeability and apparent drying characteristics beyond expectation when a specific fluorochemical surfactant is selected and added to a pretreatment liquid, to improve wettability with respect to a roller, to suppress the generation of air bubbles, to newly find that the pretreatment liquid is applied uniformly and color unevenness and density unevenness are suppressed, and to make accomplishment based on the finding so as to apply the pretreatment liquid uniformly and to suppress color unevenness and density unevenness. <P>SOLUTION: This ink jet pretreatment liquid includes at least water, a water-soluble organic solvent, a water-soluble coagulant and the fluorochemical surfactant. In the ink jet pretreatment liquid, the pretreatment liquid includes the fluorochemical surfactant having a structural formula (I) (where Rf indicates CF<SB POS="POST">3</SB>, CF<SB POS="POST">2</SB>CF<SB POS="POST">3</SB>, (CF<SB POS="POST">2</SB>)<SB POS="POST">3</SB>F or (CF<SB POS="POST">2</SB>)<SB POS="POST">4</SB>F and X and Y are integer numbers satisfying X=1-4, Y=1-4 and x+Y=4 or 5). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
