<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize a possibility that wires contributive to the transmission route of an electric signal are exposed from a sealing material. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid ejection head includes a recording element board H1100 having liquid ejection ports formed therein, an electric wiring board H1300 which supplies an electric signal that causes liquid ejection to the recording element board, and a plurality of wires H2000a and H2000b which connect a plurality of terminals provided on the ejection port surface of the recording element board where the ejection ports are formed and a plurality of terminals provided on the electric wiring board. The plurality of wires include a plurality of transmission wires H2000a contributive to the transmission route of the electric signal between the recording element board and the electric wiring board, and a plurality of non-transmission wires H2000b not contributive to the transmission route. A sealing material H1305 is formed to cover at least the plurality of transmission wires entirely.
