<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dual clutch transmission that can be configured to a selected geometry, is reduced in cost and can operate with a reduced complexity of design constrictions. <P>SOLUTION: The dual clutch transmission includes: an input shaft 524; an odd shaft 520 which carries a plurality of odd pinion gears including a first gear pinion 570; an odd clutch 560 which is connected at an odd numbered gear ratio; an even shaft 522 which is parallel to, and spaced from the odd shaft and carries a plurality of gear pinions; an even clutch 562 which is connected at an even numbered gear ratio; and an output shaft 550 which is parallel to, and spaced from the odd shaft 520 and the even shaft 560 and carries a first plurality of output gears providing the odd numbered gear ratio and a second plurality of output gears providing the even numbered gear ratio. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
