<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an extrusion billet of a superconducting wire rod improving the work efficiency of the billet manufacture, and to provide structure of the extrusion billet and a method of manufacturing the superconducting wire rod. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided the method of manufacturing the extrusion billet 1 of the superconducting wire rod which is formed by sealing both ends of a copper tube 2 with a super-conducting material 5 being filled therein by a front lid 5 and a rear lid 6 made of copper, and which inserted in an extrusion machine to be extruded. In the method, center punch holes 8a and 8b for fitting the extrusion billet to a lathe are formed at the centers of the front lid 5 and the rear lid 6 at both ends of the copper tube 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
