<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine reducing iron-loss inside of a split core caused by surface pressure from a holding ring and preventing buckling of the split core while maintaining holding power for the split core by use of the holding ring. <P>SOLUTION: A split core 16 is composed of a plurality of first core plates 165 and a second core plate 166 laminated in a predetermined order. An outer periphery 165c of the first core plate 165 is projected outward from an outer periphery 166c of the second core plate 166 in a radial direction. A slit 165d penetrates through an outer peripheral edge of a first back yoke portion 165b in the first core plate 165 while both ends of the first back yoke portion 165b in a circumferential direction are being left. This makes the slit 165d formed in the first core plate 165 work as a buffer part so that a bridge portion 165e receives surface pressure from a cylindrical part 151 of a holding ring 15 to alleviate stress generated in the first back yoke portion 165b except the bridge portion 165e. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
