<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time required for detecting fracture of all nozzles without causing incorrect detection. <P>SOLUTION: The droplet ejection state detector includes: a sensor substrate 32 on which a plurality of sensor electrodes 42a-42d and common electrodes, i.e. GND electrodes 43, are arranged alternately in the nozzle arrangement direction and liquid droplets from a recording head 4 impact; and a capacitance detector 33 which detects a change in capacitance between the sensor electrodes 42a-42d and the GND electrodes 43. Electrode patterns of the sensor electrodes 42a-42d and the GND electrodes 43 are formed in a direction of intersecting the main scanning direction of the recording head 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
