PURPOSE: An apparatus for preventing vehicle rollover is provided to generate a posture control moment using braking energy or remaining energy to attenuate an inertia moment applied to a vehicle, thereby preventing vehicle rollover. CONSTITUTION: An energy storage unit(100) stores braking energy or remaining energy. A gyroscope(200) converts the stored energy into kinetic energy. The gyroscope is a variable-speed control moment gyroscope. An angular velocity measuring unit(300) measures the angular velocity of a vehicle or a device body. A controller(400) operates the gyroscope according to the measured angular velocity.
