PURPOSE: A backlight control apparatus and control method thereof are provided to prevent over-current by increasing the duty ratio of a PWM control signal for controlling the brightness of an LED backlight module. CONSTITUTION: An LED backlight driving unit(200) drives an LED backlight module(100). A controller(300) outputs a PWM control signal for controlling the brightness of an enable signal and the LED backlight module. The controller outputs the enable signal to a high state when the LED backlight module turns on and increases duty ratio of the PWM control signal. |
