PURPOSE: A vehicle tracking using a portable terminal, data communication of vehicle information, and automatic notification method are provided to prevent the crime of a vehicle by enabling a user to search the registration number plate of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A portable terminal extracts the number and text of a photographed registration number plate(S201). The portable terminal transmits the extracted information to a management server(S202). The management server transmits the basic information to an agency server(S203). The agency server compares the basic information with a database(S204). The agency server determines a tax-unpaid vehicle, an illegal vehicle, and a lost vehicle.
