PURPOSE: An expansion joint device for a bridge is provided to enable quick construction through convenient connection of unit members and to prevent a water leakage because of improved durability and coupling performance. CONSTITUTION: An expansion joint device for a bridge is composed as follows. Vertical members(4,5) are coupled to the underside of finger members(2,3) arranged in the horizontal direction. In the finger members, protrusions and grooves, corresponding to each other, are continuously formed in a wave pattern. An expansion member is coupled between the vertical members. A plurality of coupling pins(6) for uniting steel reinforcements are formed on the exterior side of the vertical members, and connectors are formed on the exterior side of both ends of the vertical members. The connectors comprise a hook which is fastened with a pin and rotated and a latch on which the rotated hook is caught. |
