[Class. 144 (i)] Relates to hub-caps or,fairing-discs of the kind described in Specification 517,955, which are secured by snap engagement of the edge of the cap &c. with studs &c. projecting from the wheel body or rim, and consists in providing means for spacing the edge of the cap &c. from the wheel, at least in the zones between the studs &c. In the form shown in Figs, 5 and 6, the edge 4 of the cap 3, sprung over the stud-heads 2. is spaced from the wheel-disc 1 by means of an enlarged base or washer 2b on the studs, or bosses 2b struck-up from the disc 1 at the stud locations. In a modification, the wheel-disc is arcuately recessed between the studs to clear the edge of the cap.
