Portable case for infusion

A portable case 1 for infusion equipment comprising a vessel 54 having a tubular bore and a separate actuator pump 52 for the vessel. The case 1 has a shell-like body defining an internal cavity that is shaped and dimensioned to accommodate said pump 52 and vessel 54, said case 1 being shaped within the cavity for removably holding the pump 52 and vessel 54 in mutual fixed relation such that the actuator pump 52 is operably engaged with a piston 56 of the vessel 54 without attaching the vessel 54 to the pump 52. The case 1 may be shaped to completely envelop the vessel 54 and pump 52 i.e. stably support the vessel 54 and pump 52 around their entire extents. The device allows the use of a vessel 54 made from brittle material e.g. glass. A kit and a method are also described.
