The method involves absorbing the moisture by an absorbent from the process air evaporating during the absorption phase from the material. The moisture is regenerated in a subsequent regenerating operating phase by discharging moisture incorporated from the process air. The moisture absorbed from the material is stored temporarily stored during the regenerating operating phase without absorbent, in which the moisture is incorporated from the process air that is heated for this purpose.
