PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-size image display device ensuring quality of projected images conforming to a laser safety standard.SOLUTION: A red laser beam source device 23 has a temperature sensor attached to the surface of a holder to detect the temperature. The temperature-light output from a blue laser beam source device is controlled using the detected value of the temperature. A windshield cover covering the temperature sensor is attached to the surface of the holder to protect the temperature sensor from cooling air sent from a cooling fan disposed adjacent to the red laser beam source device. With this, the light output can be appropriately controlled according to the temperature changes on the red laser beam source device and the blue laser beam source device, a temperature sensor for the blue laser beam source device can be eliminated, and thus the size and the cost of the device can be reduced. |
